Our Story
Building a better farm for tomorrow's future
Established in 2020, Bentley Farm, is built with a passion for learning, sustainability and doing things as well as is physically possible.
Our priorities are biodiversity, carbon capture and soil health driven by birds, bees, trees, flowers, and wetlands. Farming a herd of very happy grass-fed Highland Cattle and pigs that live in woodland (as they should). Whilst the farm will be financially self-sufficient, finance will not be its priority, using nature, not chemistry, we are creating something exceptional.
With our partners in Sustainability, Stephenson, who will support the project as part of their Sustainability Strategy for Carbon Capture. Planting a tree for every customer and an English Oak for every year they have been in business (the business started in 1857 so that is a lot of giant trees for the future). This is only the start, but you have to start somewhere.

Carbon Capture
Soil regeneration
Livestock
40 free roaming farm animals
Arable crops
Borage, Rapeseed & Sunflower
Our Farm
Propagating the future
of farming.

With a long-term objective of not only building our little piece of natural perfection, we also want to create a sustainable supply of seed oil for our partners, Stephenson. The concept is to grow oil seed crops within a 20 miles radius of the Stephenson factory in Leeds.
Growing crops such as Flax and Hemp to provide the feed stock for production of functional personal care ingredients such as soaps and esters. Their farms and Stephenson’s product development skills can create sustainable supply chains, increased margins for farmers and biodiversity, possibly in time making an impact on a much greater scale than we can imagine at this point.
If we don’t try, we will never know.

Introducing The Bentley Farm
We have ambitious plans for the future and whilst the farm is only in its infancy, we still have a rowdy bunch of animals and ideas to work on before we get to the exciting aspects of the plan.
Our Mission
To create a sustainable farming model that can produce oil seed crops for innovative ingredients for the personal care industry.
